I use to break this machine all the time as we call it Hawaii. We used to goto this 24 hour pool hall. Once I did a sleep over so i said I was and played this from about 6pm till about 2 am let the game to another guy whos pretty good.
came back after breakfast the next day with My good friend the guy was still playing so we took over and took turns and played till the about 8 that evening.
Good game none the less.

AZMAB, it’s because of this game, I think, you gave me the jonphoton moniker way back in the day. We had people lined up to watch us once the 6:00 leagues started. We also took bathroom and lunch and dinner and late night snack breaks. It’s not like it was hard for one of us play thirty minutes straight. Thanks for the memories, bro!

Talk about reliving the past. My brother and I got pretty good at this game back in the day. One freezing cold Sunday in Kansas City at a bowling alley we dropped in a quarter at about noon and were told we had to leave because the alley was closing. . . . at 1:00am the next day. When we left the score was over 23,000,000. I heard these sounds in my sleep for days. If I remember, when the score gets to 910,000 it cycles back to the beginning.

I presume you’re referring to the “The End” screen. That screen is only shown if the player doesn’t get a high score.
